Sierra Toy Soldier Company

Category: E-Commerce

This store was originally built on Microsoft's bCentral service which is no longer available. When our client realized that the time was looming that bCentral would go away, he examined several alternate shopping cart solutions, and ultimately selected ProductCart.

One of the great advantages in these cases is the product data import/export tools built into ProductCart. We were able to retrieve the product database from bCentral, format it in a .xls file according to the needs of ProductCart, and used this to migrate the product data.

Then we rebuilt the static HTML pages, added a fresh design, and up sprung another new and successful ProductCart store!

With the successful re-launch of Star Marine Depot behind us, and sales increasing significantly, our client asked us to redesign his second site. It's tough to argue with success. These two stores are power houses driving significant traffic and sales.

Amato Denver

There is little that makes us happier than to hear reports, such as we did from Amato, less than a week after launching their new site.

According to our client, on the strength of the new web presence, a local flower designer who was looking for a new wholesale flower distributor called and established a purchasing relationship literally the day after we launched the site. That is success! And that makes us smile...

After creating and maintaining Star Marine Depot for the past five years, our client asked us to deliver a new look and feel for his popular and successful web store. We were to use the design strategies reflected by some of the most successful and award-winning sites on the web, add a few new features, and generally refine the entire shopping process.

The results, we believe, speak for themselves.

The flower gallery we created for CFW has become so popular that growers now refer their other wholesale customers to Cutflower for reference.

Here is an example site reflecting the implementation of this powerful floral gallery tool which is also available to other members of the wholesale florist community.
Cutflower Wholesale

Cutflower Wholesale is a flower wholesaler in Atlanta, Georgia. To fulfill their marketing needs, we faced a number of challenges.

We began by selecting a color pallete that complimented their existing logo, and powered their online shopping cart with Storefront 5.0.

The highlight of the site is their flower gallery. Each time a new variety arrives, our client takes the flower to their in-house photo studio and captures a digital image. Each variety is added to the online database, and the photo is uploaded to the site, using a database administration tool we built into the site. When CFW's customers need to select a floral variety which they are unfamiliar with, the built-in search tools allow them to easily determine appearance and seasonal availability with a few clicks.

California Fly Fisher

California Fly Fisher has earned, over the past several years, a reputation for being the finest publication dedicated to angling with flies in California. As such, it was an honor to gain the opportunity to develop their online presence.

Implementing Storefront 5.0 e-commerce to handle magazine subscriptions, we then produced a series of administrative tools to facilitate management of a searchable index of past issues, as well as the details of the current issue.

This site provided an opportunity to exercise some interesting strategies. Operating against the same database and image library as its sister-site Star Marine Depot, we crafted a solution that allows selected products and categories to appear in both sites. This allows our client to manage multiple boutique web stores, while managing a single product database.

GreyBeard's outdoor-sports-related web sites have a proven track record of success. We are avid anglers, understand and value the sport, and want to help our clients succeed.

This site features a back-end database that allows our client to manage her favorite seafood recipes!

In today's competitive market, providers of outdoor recreational services find it critical to have a professional and effective web presence.

The costs of acquiring bookings at recreational sports shows, when considering registration, travel and other such costs is significant. It takes several bookings to overcome these costs of attending these shows. Every booking that can be captured without attending the show circuit directly improves your bottom line!

The live site has now been scaled back to a single page. An archive of the site as we created it is located here.

When our client came to us with her old site, she originally wanted to simply update a few images in the various artist portfolios. But she never really liked the logo on her site, and asked if we had any fresh ideas. After a quick conversation, we all agreed that what was needed was a fresh look - a contemporary design - one that would be fitting in order to present the work of her professional artist clientele.

I was surprised and delighted how Greybeard exceeded my expectations. They did exactly what they said up front, worked with me to design what I asked for, gave creative ideas to improve the site, quickly made refinements, and delivered the site on time. I found Greybeard with a Google search, so it was a complete cold call. After a few phone conversations, I was comfortable I would be working with customer-focused professionals.
