Category Sorter For ProductCart
This add-on for ProductCart allows the merchant to sort their product categories using a drag and drop interface.
One of ProductCart's many features includes the ability to dictate the sort order of products within any given category. The way this is handled is that an admin screen allows the entry of numeric values reflecting that desired sort order. But in a large and busy store, that's going to take a lot of time.
Leveraging the power of jQuery, we have created a tool that signiifcantly enhances the means by which the merchant can orgnize their products.
Here is the main screen. If you are accustomed to sorting your products manually by changing the numeric assignments in the column of your category admin screen, just imagine how much time this is going to save you!
Simply grab an image using your mouse pointer and drag it to the location you prefer. Make several changes if you like. When you are done, scroll down and hit the save button and we re-write the "sort order" values for you. It couldn't be easier!
And just to expand the power of this tool, click the red X and the product is removed form the category. Or click the "edit" link and we direct you to the product admin tool in a separate window so you can make any necessary corrections, leaving the sort tool in the original window as soon as you are ready to return to that screen.
